Risk & Insurance Education Alliance Unveils Certified Insurance & Risk Professional (CIRP) Designation Program
AUSTIN, TX — The Risk & Insurance Education Alliance has introduced the Certified Insurance & Risk Professional (CIRP) designation. This innovative program aims to enhance the technical knowledge, sales skills, and client-focused capabilities of commercial lines producers.
Developed with valuable insights from agency owners, sales leaders, and education managers across the country, the CIRP program equips producers with essential expertise. This foundational knowledge enables them to identify exposures, close coverage gaps, and confidently manage client relationships. The program is designed to act as a “shot of adrenaline” for producers, providing them with the practical skills necessary for both immediate and long-term success. CIRP is available as both a corporate program and an online self-paced option, catering to diverse learning preferences.
“Agency owners, sales, and education managers communicated clearly what their producers were lacking,” stated William J. Hold, CRM, CISR, President & CEO of the Risk & Insurance Education Alliance. “CIRP provides producers with the technical and sales foundation, along with the confidence they need to assume client leadership roles more quickly and effectively.”
The CIRP designation requires the successful completion of five self-paced courses.
CIRP Program Requirements:
To maintain their credential, CIRP designees must complete an annual 8-hour update. Most courses qualify for Continuing Education (CE) credit nationwide, ensuring that producers stay current with industry standards and practices.
CIRP is accessible through Corporate Education Solutions for agency group programs or via open enrollment for individual participants. For more information, visit: https://www.riskeducation.org/cirp-certified-insurance-risk-professional-designation
