Howden Introduces Cybersecurity Practice in the US
Howden has officially launched a new U.S. cyber practice, marking a significant expansion in its offerings. The firm has appointed Juliet White as the head of cyber and Lou Botticelli as the cyber brokerage leader, both bringing extensive experience to their new roles.

Juliet White has been a prominent figure in the cyber insurance landscape, having served as the head of cyber at E&O for Vantage Risk Cos. since May 2022. Prior to that, she held the position of head of cyber in North America for AXA XL, where she honed her expertise in managing cyber risks.
Lou Botticelli joins Howden after a successful tenure of over a decade at Markel, where he was most recently the managing director for cyber and professional liability. His extensive background in the industry positions him well to lead the brokerage side of the new practice.

In addition to White and Botticelli, Howden has assembled a robust team to support its cyber practice. Jessica Daehler has been appointed as the cyber growth and strategy leader, while Suzane Gladle will serve as the cyber client engagement and service leader. David Hau takes on the role of cyber private equity and M&A solutions leader, and Natalia Santiago has been hired as the head of cyber claims.
Daehler, Gladle, and Santiago all come from McGriff, a Marsh & McLennan Agency company, bringing valuable insights and experience to Howden’s expanding cyber team.
With this new team, Howden aims to enhance its international cyber capabilities, increasing its roster of experts to over 150 across five continents. This strategic move comes at a time when businesses are increasingly facing a dynamic threat landscape, characterized by high-severity ransomware attacks.
Ron Borys, head of financial lines at Howden US, emphasized the importance of assembling a skilled team in this evolving market. “In what is still a relatively young product line, and with companies facing a fluid threat landscape dominated by a series of high severity ransomware attacks, assembling a truly formidable team empowered to make the best decisions is a crucial differentiator for clients,” he stated. “I am very proud that Juliet, Lou, Jessica, Suzane, David, and Natalia have chosen to join Howden. Their incredible knowledge and expertise in the cyber sector will take our global capability to the next level and enhance the service and advice we can offer.”
