Prior to joining HUB, he spent over a decade with a prominent insurance brokerage firm, where he honed his skills in client relations and risk management. Earlier in his career, Hetrick dedicated nearly 11 years to a national insurance carrier, gaining extensive knowledge across various insurance lines, with a particular focus on personal insurance and family protection strategies.

WSRB President & CEO Newman to Retire
The Board of Directors of Washington Surveying & Rating Bureau has announced that President and CEO Karl J. Newman will retire for health reasons at the end of March. In a seamless transition, WSRB Chief Operating Officer Cori Medrano has been appointed as the new president and CEO, effective April 1.
Karl Newman has been at the helm of WSRB for over a decade, leading the organization through significant changes and challenges. Even after his retirement, he will remain on the WSRB board of directors, providing guidance and support to Medrano during this transition period.
Cori Medrano brings 35 years of experience in the insurance industry to her new role. She has been instrumental in driving WSRB’s core business modernization initiatives, implementing new tools and resources that enhance the value provided to subscribers.
