Palantir Relocates to Miami Co-Working Space in Unexpected Shift
Palantir Technologies Inc. has made headlines with its unexpected decision to relocate from Denver to Miami. What adds to the intrigue is that the company will initially set up shop in a co-working space.
A recent regulatory filing indicates that Palantir’s “principal executive offices” will be located at an Industrious co-working facility in Aventura, roughly 17 miles north of downtown Miami. This suggests that the transition of the headquarters may occur in phases as the company formulates its long-term plans.
The data-analytics firm, recognized for its role in developing a Lloyd’s syndicate, announced the move this week. However, details were sparse, with a brief post on X stating simply: “We have moved our headquarters to Miami, Florida.”
In Colorado, officials from the governor’s and Denver’s mayor’s offices expressed surprise, noting they had no prior notification of the move. Meanwhile, in Florida, advocates for the region’s emerging tech scene celebrated the announcement as further validation of efforts to attract businesses and wealthy individuals with its sunny climate and favorable tax environment.
A 10-K filing with the SEC on Tuesday provided additional context, revealing Palantir’s address as 19505 Biscayne Blvd., Aventura, Suite 2350, which corresponds to the Industrious co-working space. The Abbey at Aventura, which houses the co-working offices, confirmed the news via an Instagram post.
This choice of location may reflect the expedited nature of the move, indicating that Palantir may not initially have a large workforce in Miami. Similar to other companies that have relocated their headquarters to South Florida, Palantir may retain a significant number of employees in other major financial hubs.

Citadel, another major player, relocated to Miami in 2022 and has since expanded to 500 employees, including founder and CEO Ken Griffin. Miami now ranks as Citadel’s third-largest office globally.
Palantir is actively seeking more permanent office space in prime Miami locations such as Wynwood, Brickell, or Coral Gables, according to sources familiar with the situation.
While a Palantir spokesperson declined to comment, a receptionist at the Industrious location refrained from confirming whether Palantir is a tenant.
With this headquarters move, Palantir, boasting a market capitalization of approximately $332 billion, will become the most valuable publicly traded company officially based in Florida, significantly outpacing NextEra Energy Inc. At the end of last year, Palantir reported having 4,429 full-time employees, with 28% based outside the U.S. The company maintains additional offices in locations such as Palo Alto, California, New York, and Washington, D.C.
Although Colorado’s corporate tax rate is lower than Florida’s, the “Sunshine State” offers the advantage of no personal income tax, making it an attractive option for employees. Additionally, South Florida tends to draw C-suite executives, particularly due to the high cost of real estate.
Peter Thiel, the billionaire tech veteran and chairman of Palantir, has also relocated his investment firm to Wynwood, a vibrant arts and entertainment district in Miami. He owns a home in the city and his Founders Fund maintains an office there.
