Tech Hub: Top Tech of 2025

As the year draws to a close, Tech Hub takes a look at the top 10 most popular tech products of 2025, based on US Google Trends data from trends.google.com. This analysis covers trends measured from May through October 2025, utilizing the Google Trends Explore tool alongside insights from various mainstream publications available at the time. To maintain impartiality, we present these products in no particular order. Remember, just because a product is trending doesn’t necessarily mean you need it.

  1. Smart Rings: Leading brands like Oura, Samsung, and Ultrahuman have made smart rings a popular choice among tech wearables. While some models can be pricey and may even require monthly subscriptions, they provide comprehensive health monitoring that goes beyond what modern smartwatches offer.
  2. Switch 2: This versatile device stands out not just as a gaming console but as a multifunctional gadget. With a larger screen, enhanced battery life, and an array of features, the Switch 2 is an upgrade over its predecessor, allowing users to enjoy gaming at home or on the go, solo or with friends.
  3. Mini Photo Printers: Devices like the HP Sprocket and Polaroid Hi-Print are revolutionizing how we capture and print photos. Instead of letting your digital images remain trapped on your phone, these printers allow you to bridge the gap between digital and analog worlds by printing your favorite moments instantly.
  4. Wireless Earbuds: The market for wireless earbuds has exploded, offering a range of features from open ear designs to noise cancellation and even live translation capabilities. Popular models include Apple AirPods, Google Pixel Buds, and Bose QuietComfort, catering to diverse user needs.
  5. A ton of Watches!: This year saw the release of numerous new watch models, including the Apple Watch and Google Pixel Watch, each boasting innovative features and designs. With options ranging from entry-level to advanced models tailored for professional athletes, there’s a watch for everyone.
  6. TV Projectors: Products like the Samsung Freestyle and Kodak Flik have made it possible to set up a TV screen virtually anywhere, even outdoors. More affordable projectors are also becoming available on platforms like Amazon, making this technology increasingly accessible.
  7. Property Trackers: Brands such as Nomad, Airtags, and Tile offer various tracking solutions to help you locate lost items like keys, wallets, or even your car in a crowded parking lot. New functionalities introduced this year allow travelers to share their luggage location directly with airlines using Airtags.
  8. Smart Glasses: This year’s models, including the XReal and Meta Rayban, come equipped with exciting new features that enhance the user experience, making smart glasses a noteworthy trend in tech.
  9. Power Banks: As smartphones have evolved, so too have power banks. Modern options can snap onto your phone, quickly recharge it, and fit comfortably in your hand. If you haven’t upgraded your portable power bank recently, now is a great time to consider it.
  10. Robot Vacuums and Lawnmowers: While robot vacuums have been around for some time, their features have significantly improved. Additionally, robot lawnmowers from brands like eufy and Segway are gaining traction, even as they continue to develop their capabilities.

That’s a wrap for this year! Be sure to return in 2026 for our annual recap of the latest innovations showcased at CES, the world’s largest consumer technology event. And a note to my readers: stay curious, embrace new ideas, and keep upgrading yourself.
