CFC Appoints Aspen’s Camara as New CEO of CFC USA

Specialist insurer CFC has announced the appointment of Justin Camara as the new chief executive officer of CFC USA. This strategic move is aimed at enhancing the company’s growth trajectory in the U.S. market.

With an impressive 30-year career in the insurance industry, Camara will transition to CFC USA from his recent position as executive vice president and portfolio director for financial lines and professional liability at Aspen Insurance Group. His official start date is set for the first quarter of 2026.

Justin Camara

Louise O’Shea, CEO of CFC Group, expressed her enthusiasm about Camara’s appointment, stating, “He brings a wealth of specialty experience, and his strong track record of business building makes him a natural fit for the entrepreneurial culture at CFC. His appointment reflects our commitment to expand our presence in the U.S., and under his leadership, we are confident CFC USA will continue to deliver exceptional service and expertise to our clients and partners.”

During his tenure at Aspen, Camara managed a significant portfolio of specialty insurance business across both U.S. and international markets. His extensive experience also includes launching Great American’s professional liability division in California and spearheading Liberty Mutual’s professional lines expansion on the West Coast. Camara began his insurance career at AIG in New York, where he laid the foundation for his successful journey in the industry.

In the interim, Michael Brunero has been serving as the managing director for CFC USA since January 2025, following the departure of Shannon Groeber. This transition period has allowed CFC to maintain its operational momentum while preparing for Camara’s leadership.
