An Amazon Prime Air delivery drone crashed into a Texas apartment building last week, an incident that was captured on video by a bystander.
The crash occurred in Richardson, a suburb of Dallas, Texas, on February 4, when a Prime Air MK30 drone collided with the side of an apartment building and plummeted to the ground.
FOX 4 KDFW reported that Cessy Johnson, who was working from home, heard the drone flying nearby. Intrigued, she began recording it on her phone, as she had never seen one in operation before.
As the drone moved out of her line of sight, Johnson noticed unusual noises and then saw debris falling before the drone itself crashed outside the building.

“The propellers on the thing were still moving, and you could smell it was starting to burn. I even saw a few sparks in one of my videos. Luckily, nothing really caught fire, but it escalated really quickly,” Johnson recounted.
She added, “They had to come and try to dismantle it. Shortly after, two Amazon representatives arrived to clean up the debris and take the drone away in their truck,” as reported to FOX 4 KDFW.
