Ames & Gough Elevates Marchetti to President, Gough Takes on CEO Role

Ames & Gough, based in Washington, D.C., has made significant leadership changes by appointing Thomas Marchetti as president and Matthew Gough as CEO.

In his new role, Marchetti will oversee the firm’s daily operations, which encompass various critical functions such as sales, marketing, client service, accounting, human resources, technology, and market relations. He will also continue to engage with some of the firm’s larger design and construction management clients across the United States, while managing operations in Washington, D.C.

Matthew Gough, who previously held the position of president since 2020, has now transitioned to the role of CEO. In this capacity, he will concentrate on the firm’s strategic direction and future initiatives, while still maintaining direct relationships with many of the firm’s largest clients. Gough has been with Ames & Gough since 2001, where he has developed strong ties with numerous design firm clients. Earlier in his career at the firm, he also spearheaded new business development efforts.
