Aon Promotes Fraccalvieri as CEO of Global Facultative Re, Succeeding Laing
Insurance broker Aon plc has announced the appointment of Nick Fraccalvieri as the new CEO of global facultative for Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions, effective March 1, 2026.

Fraccalvieri joined Aon in 2023 to lead the firm’s EMEA facultative reinsurance operations. With over 25 years of industry experience, he has held various senior leadership roles across both regional and international markets. Since his arrival at Aon, he has successfully led a team that has driven significant growth in the EMEA facultative reinsurance sector.
In his new role, Fraccalvieri will be tasked with setting the strategic direction and executing Aon’s global facultative reinsurance strategy, with a focus on ceded facultative at the core of the proposition. He will collaborate closely with colleagues across Aon’s Risk Capital platform to deliver differentiated value to clients and develop strategies for sustainable, profitable growth.
Additionally, Fraccalvieri will spearhead the development of new digital capabilities and talent initiatives, ensuring that Aon’s facultative offerings remain at the forefront of innovative, client-centric solutions in an increasingly complex risk landscape.
Fraccalvieri takes over from Andrew Laing, who will now concentrate fully on his role as UK CEO of Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions, a position he assumed in July 2025. Laing has been pivotal in driving substantial growth and innovation in client solutions during his decade-long tenure as global facultative reinsurance leader.
Post-transition, Laing will continue to serve as global chair of facultative for Reinsurance Solutions, while Fraccalvieri will maintain his role as CEO of EMEA facultative for Reinsurance Solutions.
“Over the past decade, Andrew has transformed our global facultative reinsurance operations into a true industry powerhouse, whose scale and capabilities have continually helped to shape better business decisions for our clients,” commented Andy Marcell, CEO of global solutions for Aon.
