Baldwin Appoints Lynch and Two Others to Leadership Positions Following CAC Merger

The Baldwin Group, previously known as Baldwin Risk Partners and headquartered in Tampa, has announced a significant leadership change within its insurance advisory solutions division. This segment is responsible for managing retail property-casualty and benefits brokerage services.
In a recent press release, Baldwin, a publicly traded company, revealed that Erin Lynch, the former CEO of CAC Group, has been appointed as the president of specialty insurance. In her new role, Lynch will focus on expanding Baldwin’s offerings in this area. She brings a wealth of experience, having spent five years at CAC and 14 years leading a subsidiary of Brown & Brown. Lynch holds a degree in journalism from the University of Oregon, as noted on her LinkedIn profile.

Jeff Hughes has been appointed as the president of middle-market insurance, where he will oversee employee benefits and commercial insurance needs nationwide. Hughes has been with Baldwin since 2022, serving as the Southeast president prior to this new role. His background includes a position as managing director of the employee benefits group at BKS Partners, which is part of the Baldwin Group.

Additionally, Joe Valerio has been appointed as the chief operating officer for the insurance advisory solutions segment. In this role, he will continue to oversee client experience, broking and placement, as well as national operations. Valerio has a strong background, having previously served as a division leader at World Insurance Associates and holding a position at Willis Towers Watson.
All three leaders will report directly to Dan Galbraith, the president of The Baldwin Group.
