Brit Unveils $200M Cyber Consortium Renewal

Brit Group Holdings Ltd. has announced the renewal of its cyber consortium, known as “Brit Cyber Attack Plus” (BCAP). This innovative cyber product is designed to safeguard clients against a wide array of cyber-related threats, including physical damage.
Led by Brit Syndicate 2987, BCAP provides comprehensive cyber coverage tailored to individual client needs. This includes protection against cyber-triggered physical damage and business interruption, all managed through a single underwriting and claims agreement party.
According to Brit, BCAP boasts the largest amount of cyber capacity available in the market on a primary basis. It is also recognized as the longest-standing physical damage consortium in both the London and international markets.
Originally established in 2016, BCAP was created to address the growing demand from clients seeking to expand their cyber coverage across standalone cyber and all-risk purchases. The consortium leverages expertise from Brit’s cyber, property, and financial institutions (FI) teams to deliver a best-in-class solution for clients.
In an exciting development, BCAP has increased its combined cyber limit to an impressive $200 million. Clients can also access substantial standalone cyber limits through alternative capacity towers, thanks to Brit’s new First 50 and FI Cyber Max consortiums, set to launch in 2026.
“We are pleased to announce the renewal of BCAP, which continues to act as a strong example of Brit’s leadership and innovation in the cyber market,” stated Jon Sullivan, Brit Group’s chief underwriting officer.
Adam Taylor, class underwriter for Cyber, Privacy, and Technology, noted, “With cyberattacks increasing in both frequency and severity, physical assets are becoming more vulnerable as industries embrace digitalization. This shift has led to a growing demand for the protection of critical infrastructure, as well as industrial and manufacturing operations.”
“Our innovation with BCAP ensures that it continues to provide coverage against such risks while offering a comprehensive suite of traditional cyber coverage. This makes BCAP a unique product capable of addressing business-critical needs in the market,” Taylor added.
James Bright, class underwriter for Cyber Property Damage and Cyber Distribution, emphasized, “BCAP’s bespoke coverage, aligned with all-risk purchases, positions Brit as a key player in helping businesses remain resilient against a variety of emerging threats. We are excited to continue collaborating with our capacity partners, brokers, and clients to uphold the London market’s reputation for leadership in cyber.”
