Buc-ee’s Set to Open the Largest Convenience Store in the World in Fort Pierce, Florida


Buc-ee’s, an oversized travel center that has garnered a cult following, is set to open the world’s largest convenience store next year. This ambitious project will span an impressive 76,245 square feet in Fort Pierce, Florida, as reported by Sebastian Daily.

The company has already filed revised site plans and a building permit with St. Lucie County, following state approval in April. However, final approval for the project is still pending, leaving many eager fans in anticipation.

If the plans go ahead, this massive convenience store will be strategically located at Interstate 95 and Indrio Road, positioned northwest of Fort Pierce and southwest of Vero Beach. The store will feature a staggering 120 gas pumps and 18 electric vehicle charging stations, according to the outlet.

Additionally, the new location will boast over 700 parking spaces, making it a convenient stop for travelers.

BUC-EE’S OPENS LARGEST STORE SPANNING 75,000 SQUARE FEET WITH 120 GAS PUMPS

This upcoming store will surpass the size of Buc-ee’s Luling, Texas location, which currently holds the title of the largest at 75,593 square feet. That store opened its doors in June 2024, taking the crown from a 74,000-square-foot Buc-ee’s in Tennessee.

Founded in Texas in the 1980s, Buc-ee’s has distinguished itself from competitors with its expansive facilities. For context, typical 7-Eleven locations range from 2,500 to 3,000 square feet, while Wawa and Sheetz stores usually measure between 5,000 and 6,500 square feet.
