Another sports legend has joined Fanatics on an exclusive trading card and memorabilia deal.

Beckham is the latest of many global soccer stars and legends who have exclusive deals with the digital sports giant.

Previously, he was in an exclusive agreement with Panini America, a rival trading card manufacturer, signed in 2021. The financial details of this new partnership remain undisclosed.

David Leiner, president of Fanatics Collectibles’ trading cards, mentioned that Topps, the trading card and collectibles brand acquired by Fanatics in 2022, had never collaborated with Beckham before.

“We had done some cards, some parts of his image, all that stuff when we were a Premier League rights holder. But we had never had autographs,” he explained.

This new deal changes that, starting with a unique one-of-one Beckham “Superfractor” card in the 2026 Premiere League Chrome packs, set to hit retail on February 5.

In 2024, Fanatics and the English Premier League (EPL) established an exclusive deal after the league spent six years collaborating with Panini America.

Leiner emphasized Beckham’s potential as a significant asset for their marketing strategies as the multi-year partnership unfolds.

“I think it just makes the portfolio a heck of a lot better, gives us a lot of upgraded ammunition here to work with,” Leiner stated. “The deal includes significant marketing. … We plan to engage with David and do a lot of fun things for fans and collectors, and hopefully bring more and more folks into the collecting world with David.”

In addition to the EPL, Fanatics Collectibles has exclusive partnerships with UEFA Club Competitions (since 2015), MLS (since 2012), and Bundesliga (since 2008).

Fanatics is also expanding globally, with flagship stores, including one near London’s iconic Piccadilly Circus, set to open in April 2025.

“Soccer is the biggest sport in the world, and soccer has a ways to go until it becomes a big collectible category,” Leiner noted.

“A player like David Beckham is just going to continue to elevate collectibles and enhance the Topps brand.”
