David Beckham Reveals Details of Bank of America Sports Partnership at Davos
Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan and soccer legend David Beckham join ‘Mornings with Maria’ to unveil a new partnership focused on youth sports, economic growth, and America’s World Cup moment.
Sir David Beckham considers himself “one of the lucky ones.” The soccer icon has partnered with Bank of America in a multi-year initiative aimed at providing more children with access to sports, coaching, and opportunities. This mission was fully unveiled this week at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
“I feel very lucky to be in partnership with Bank of America, and more importantly, in partnership with Brian [Moynihan], because we first met here last year and we spoke about the initiatives and what Bank of America really wants to bring into this moment,” Beckham shared with FOX Business’ Maria Bartiromo.
“To have this access to inclusion, to great facilities, and to great coaches to empower these children is such an important thing,” he continued.
Beckham has signed a five-year agreement with Bank of America to serve as their “sports ambassador.” This role emphasizes the bank’s debut as a sponsor for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and highlights access to various youth sports, including running and golf.

“It’s interesting because we met here last year for the first time,” Bank of America Chairman and CEO Moynihan told Bartiromo. “What we’re trying to do is have Bank of America invest in sport—not just for sponsorship, but for enabling the kids and the excellence that David represents. David is such an icon in this sport, but as an entrepreneur and a capitalist who understands business, it’s great to work with him.”

“Soccer is doing great right now. [Inter Miami] won the championship last year, which was a very special moment for me as an owner. Winning that trophy years ago was also a significant achievement,” Beckham elaborated.
“Soccer in America is growing. I first moved to L.A. in 2007, and I recognized the real opportunity. It was challenging, but the growth of the game over the last 15 years has been incredible, and I’m glad to have played a small part in that.”
The Manchester United legend has made substantial investments in U.S. soccer, including signing Lionel Messi to Inter Miami in 2023 and preparing to open the more than $1 billion Freedom Park stadium in April. The Magic City will also host seven World Cup matches this year.

Miami Mayor Francis Suarez and Breakwater Hospitality Group CEO Emi Guerra speak to Fox News Digital about the city’s preparedness ahead of hosting the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
“There’s a lot going on in Miami with Miami Freedom Park, which we’re really excited about. What Bank of America can do is support a young generation that is coming through, excited about sports, and giving these young children the opportunity,” Beckham stated.
“I grew up in the East End of London and was one of the lucky ones. I had a park near my house where I could play soccer every day. Many children around the world lack this access. What Bank of America and Brian are doing is providing these children with opportunities, safe spaces, and great facilities with excellent coaches. That’s what we’re excited about.”
