Gabriela Berrospi Champions Latino Prosperity and Empowerment at Mar-a-Lago Gala

Latino Wall Street is the life mission of Gabriela Berrospi, who founded the financial literacy organization with the goal of eradicating poverty and boosting generational wealth in the Latino community.

Berrospi and her organization are on a meteoric rise. She is an in-demand commentator on financial matters within the Latino community, a member of the Forbes Finance Council, and has recently graced multiple magazine covers. With a television show on the New York Stock Exchange in partnership with FinTech TV, Berrospi is establishing herself as a powerful economic voice.

On February 10, Berrospi and her husband, Tony Delgado, hosted the inaugural Hispanic Prosperity Gala at Mar-a-Lago. The event featured a star-studded lineup of political and business leaders, musical entertainment, and a speech by Argentine President Javier Milei, who received the Economic Freedom Award while praising the MAGA movement and celebrating the recently signed U.S.-Argentine trade deal.

The Hispanic Prosperity Gala showcased the undeniable power of Latinos in the Trump administration and highlighted a growing transnational effort to unite right-wing movements across the Americas.

Berrospi expressed her long-held dream of hosting an event to showcase success stories from various industries within the Latino community, including athletes, Latin Grammy Award-winning musicians, and business icons. “I always wanted to show the world who we really are, what we’re capable of,” she said. “A lot of the media coverage about Latinos focuses on negative stereotypes, which is not empowering. My movement, Latino Wall Street, is all about elevating Latinos.”

Berrospi cites Warren Buffett of Berkshire Hathaway and Ray Dalio of Bridgewater Associates as key influences on her investing philosophy. “To eradicate poverty, we follow a conservative approach to investing,” she explained. “It’s not about getting rich quickly; it’s about patience and investing in proven indexes that withstand various crises.” She emphasizes the importance of sticking to strategies that have been successful over time.

“When something bad happens, it’s an opportunity to add to your positions,” Berrospi noted, echoing the wisdom she gained from attending Warren Buffett’s Omaha conferences. “We invest in commodities and the S&P 500, using extremely conservative strategies that have proven effective.” She critiques the culture of conspicuous consumption that complicates financial literacy education, especially with social media promoting get-rich-quick schemes.

Berrospi believes that the American economic dream, while attainable, is fraught with risks if financial literacy is ignored. “America is the wealthiest nation, but it is also the most in debt,” she stated. “We need to address this by being responsible and ensuring that a portion of our income goes toward our future, retirement, and savings for our children. This is fundamental and can be automated. Once I learned this from top mentors like Warren Buffett, I realized it’s quite simple. You just have to implement it consistently, and it works because we are following proven strategies that have stood the test of time.”
