SCOR Names Swiss Re’s Forgeron as P&C Chief Underwriting Officer
SCOR has announced the appointment of Laure Forgeron as the global Chief Underwriting Officer for Property and Casualty (P&C), effective January 5. In her new role, she will report directly to Jean-Paul Conoscente, the CEO of SCOR P&C, and will also be a member of the Group Executive Committee.

Forgeron joins SCOR after more than 16 years at Swiss Re, where she held various roles with increasing responsibility. Most recently, she served as CUO for casualty from April 2023 until January 2026, as noted on her LinkedIn profile.
“With over 15 years of recognized international experience in property and casualty reinsurance, her mission is to define and drive the P&C underwriting and portfolio strategy across reinsurance, insurance, alternative solutions, and facultative business,” stated SCOR’s CEO Thierry Léger. “Together with her team, she will ensure excellence in risk assessment and underwriting while providing strategic insights to the market team to enhance performance.”

Hamilton Re Promotes Steinhoff to CUO
Hamilton Insurance Group Ltd. has announced the promotion of Susan Steinhoff to Chief Underwriting Officer at Hamilton Re, the company’s Bermuda-based insurance and reinsurance underwriting platform.
Steinhoff brings over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, having held senior roles at ACE (now Chubb) before joining Hamilton in its early days in 2014.
Effective January 1, Steinhoff will lead underwriting activities across Hamilton Re and will report to Adrian Daws, the Chief Executive Officer at Hamilton Re. She succeeds Tim Duffin, who has transitioned to the role of group CUO as of January 1, 2026.
In connection with Steinhoff’s promotion, Peter Riihiluoma will take over as Senior Vice President, Head of Property Reinsurance, while Sergio Lottimore will succeed Riihiluoma as Senior Vice President, Head of Specialty Reinsurance.
