Three Atlanta Firms Unite to Provide Comprehensive Insurance and Financial Solutions
In a significant move for the insurance and financial services landscape, three Atlanta-based firms have merged, aiming to enhance offerings for small and medium-sized businesses. This strategic alliance comes with ambitious growth plans set for 2026.
Partners Risk Services, an independent brokerage specializing in property/casualty, benefits, and life products—previously known as BWT Risk Advisors—has joined forces with Nichols Cauley, an accounting advisory firm, and JGH Consulting, a transactions advisory firm. The announcement was made earlier this week, marking a pivotal moment for all three companies.

While the specific terms of the deal remain undisclosed, it is known that Madison Dearborn Partners, a private equity firm based in Chicago, made a significant investment to facilitate this merger.
Leadership roles have been clearly defined within the newly formed entity. Alan Whitman, who previously held a position at Baker Tilly, will take on the role of CEO. Joe Thompson, the current CEO of Partners Risk Services, will oversee risk management and insurance services. Meanwhile, Todd Giddens, managing partner of Nichols Cauley, has been appointed as the COO. This leadership structure aims to leverage the strengths of each firm to provide comprehensive services to their clients.
