Verisk Appoints Kauderer as President of Claims Solutions; Lang Takes Leadership Role at CRC for Carrier Management

Steve Kauderer

Verisk, based in Jersey City, New Jersey, has appointed Steven Kauderer as the new president of its claims solutions business. Kauderer will report directly to Lee Shavel, the president and CEO of Verisk.

Before joining Verisk, Kauderer was a senior partner at EY-Parthenon, where he spearheaded the Enterprise Reimagined initiative. His extensive background in the insurance sector includes a significant tenure as a senior partner at McKinsey & Company, where he focused on property and casualty as well as life insurance within the global insurance practice. Additionally, Kauderer has held leadership positions at Bain & Company and Oliver Wyman, further solidifying his expertise in the field.

Prior to Kauderer’s appointment, Elizabeth Mann, the Chief Financial Officer of Verisk, served in a dual capacity as the interim president of claims solutions since July 2025. With Kauderer now on board, Mann will continue to focus on her responsibilities as CFO.

Lang Joins From Marsh to Head CRC Carrier Management

CRC Group, located in Charlotte, North Carolina, has appointed Christopher Lang as the head of carrier management. Lang will be based in New York, where he will oversee strategies and relationship management, ensuring they align with CRC’s distribution and growth objectives.

Lang brings over 31 years of experience from Marsh, where he most recently served as the digital leader for global placement and placement leader for the U.S. and Canada. His earlier roles included senior leadership positions focused on placement, specialties, and key trading partner relationships, as well as managing complex client and market relationships in management and professional liability lines. He began his career in underwriting management.
