Woman Arrested for Placing Razor Blades in Bread at Two Mississippi Walmart Locations

A woman has been arrested for allegedly inserting razor blades into loaves of bread at two Walmart stores in Biloxi, Mississippi. Camille Benson, a 33-year-old from Texas, faces charges of attempted mayhem, with her bond set at $100,000.
As of Wednesday morning, Harrison County Jail records did not indicate that Benson had retained an attorney who could comment on her behalf. Efforts to reach a possible relative of Benson were unsuccessful, as a message left at a listed phone number went unanswered.
Reports from customers revealed the shocking discovery of razor blades in bread purchased from both a Walmart Supercenter and a Walmart Neighborhood Market. Lt. Candace Young, a public information officer for the Biloxi Police Department, confirmed that the first report came from a customer who found a blade in a loaf bought on December 5. Just a few days later, on December 8, another customer reported a similar incident at the Neighborhood Market.
Following a complaint from a customer at the Walmart Supercenter on Sunday, employees conducted an inspection and discovered additional loaves that had been tampered with. This prompted the police department to be notified on Monday.
In light of these incidents, the Biloxi Police Department has urged anyone who purchased bread from the affected Walmart locations to carefully inspect their loaves and report any findings. The department reassured the public that they do not believe any other stores have been targeted in this alarming case.
Walmart has responded to the situation, emphasizing that the health and safety of their customers is a top priority. In a statement, the company confirmed that they have removed and thoroughly inspected all potentially affected products from the impacted stores in Biloxi. They expressed gratitude to law enforcement for their swift action and reiterated their commitment to cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
Customers who may have purchased tampered products are advised to dispose of them immediately and visit their local Walmart for a full refund. The company is taking these incidents very seriously and is working diligently to ensure the safety of their customers.
