A recall has been expanded for five-ounce holiday bark products sold at Aldi stores nationwide. This action comes amid concerns that these treats may contain undeclared allergens, specifically pecans and wheat, as reported by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Silvestri Sweets has issued a voluntary recall for its Choceur-branded Cookie Butter Holiday Bark due to potential undeclared pecans. Additionally, the Choceur-branded Pecan, Cranberry & Cinnamon Holiday Bark is included in the recall because it may contain undeclared wheat.
The FDA warns that individuals with allergies to these ingredients “run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products.”

This recall was initially announced last month but has since been expanded. The FDA noted that the Pecan, Cranberry & Cinnamon Holiday Bark had been mistakenly packaged in Cookie Butter Holiday Bark bags, leading to the undeclared pecan issue.
