Trump Launches ‘Happy Trump’ Pin, Igniting Online Buzz Alongside Other Collectibles

President Donald Trump is well-known for his bold statements and ability to capture media attention, and his latest accessory—a new lapel pin—has certainly done just that.

Over the years, Trump has sported a variety of lapel pins, some of which have sparked more reactions than others. Recently, he showcased the “Happy Trump” pin during a meeting with high-profile oil and gas executives on January 9. This pin, which features a cartoonish depiction of Trump in his signature blue suit and red tie, has garnered significant media attention.

During the meeting, Trump wore this pin alongside his customary American flag pin. The whimsical design, with Trump’s mouth agape and eyebrows raised, caught the eye of Fox News senior White House correspondent Peter Doocy, who inquired about it.

In response, Trump explained that it was a gift, saying, “You know what this is? That’s called a ‘Happy Trump.’ And consider the fact that I’m never happy. I’m never satisfied. I will never be satisfied until we make America great again. But we’re getting pretty close.”

Interestingly, Trump had previously worn the same pin during the swearing-in of Tulsi Gabbard as the director of National Intelligence in 2025. He has also been known to wear other notable lapel pins, including a golden pin shaped like an F-22 Raptor fighter jet during a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

During that meeting on September 25, discussions revolved around the F-35 stealth fighter, as Turkey sought reentry into the American fighter jet program. Trump mentioned that they would discuss the F-35, further highlighting the significance of his accessories.

Others close to Trump, such as FCC Chair Brendan Carr, have also drawn attention with their lapel pins. Carr was spotted wearing a gold pin shaped like Trump’s profile, which was noted by right-wing commentator Benny Johnson.

Trump often dons an American flag lapel pin, a trend popularized by former President Richard Nixon in the late 1960s and early ’70s. This trend gained further traction after the events of 9/11, with former President George W. Bush and his aides also wearing the pin.

While the origins of the “Happy Trump” pin remain somewhat unclear, it has sparked a market for collectors. Various platforms, including Amazon, Etsy, and eBay, offer similar pins for sale. For instance, a pin resembling the “Happy Trump” design was available on Amazon for $9.99, although it is currently listed as “unavailable.”

In the hours following the meeting, various “Happy Trump” pins appeared for sale on platforms like eBay, with prices ranging from $26.99 to $30. The design has also made its way onto items like water bottle stickers on Etsy.

Additionally, the White House Gift Shop features its own collection of lapel pins, including a Presidential Great Eagle Lapel Pin and a “Brooch Style” USA flag pin, as worn by President Obama.

The White House has not yet responded to FOX Business’ request for comment regarding the “Happy Trump” pin.
