In a surprising move, Costco has launched a new, exclusive sneaker collaboration with Nike, sending both customers and the resale market into a frenzy. The Nike SB Dunk Low x Kirkland Signature Exclusive debuted on Friday at select locations, as confirmed by Nike to FOX Business.
According to Women’s Wear Daily, the sneakers were available in select states including New York, Oregon, California, and Washington, priced at $134.99.
Within just three days, the resale value of these sneakers skyrocketed, with prices on platforms like StockX, eBay, and GOAT ranging from approximately $400 to $1,000—marking a markup of around 200% or more.
The design of the sneakers draws inspiration from Kirkland’s signature sweatshirts, characterized by the retailer’s in-house branding in classic black, gray, and white hues. The shoes feature several Kirkland emblems and come in a gray colorway, with an exterior that resembles sweatshirt material. The inner lining mimics the pilled texture that develops on sweaters after repeated wear.

The sneakers are adorned with Kirkland logos on both the lateral heel and the inner tongue, with the tongue tag reading “Nike Skateboarding Dunk Low Pro.” On the reverse side of the tongue, a label mimics the white price tag sheets used in Costco stores, reading “Kirkland Signature Skateboarding Shore” for $135.00.
Costco is known for embedding subtle meanings in its pricing. The “.99” in $134.99 typically indicates a regular-priced item, while the “.00” in $135.00 may suggest that the product is low in stock.
