In a significant safety alert, more than 12,000 adult bed rails have been recalled due to serious entrapment hazards that could potentially lead to severe injury or even death. This warning comes from the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
The recall specifically impacts approximately 12,355 Vive Health Bed Rails, as detailed in a recent CPSC announcement. These bed rails, when attached to a bed, can trap users either within the rail itself or between the rail and the mattress. This poses a “serious entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation,” according to the commission’s warning.

Additionally, the CPSC noted that these bed rails lack the required hazard warning labels, further increasing the risk associated with their use. The affected items were available for purchase online at Amazon.com and ViveHealth.com between August 2023 and December 2025, priced between $45 and $80. It is important to note that only bed rails purchased after August 21, 2023, are included in this recall.

This recall specifically affects models LVA1024 and LVA3031BLK. The LVA1024 model features a white frame with a black handle, measuring 20 inches wide by 32 inches tall. In contrast, the LVA3031BLK model has a black frame with a black handle, measuring 13 inches wide by 18 inches tall.
Consumers are strongly advised to cease using the affected bed rails and to reach out to Vive Health for a full refund. Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities have been reported in connection with this recall.
